AS I LAY DYING
"As I Lay Dying" I really enjoyed getting the views and thoughts of the characters from outsiders . It really helped me to understand the characters. One part that really caught my attention was the fact that Cash is preparing Addie's casket while she is sick and dying, right outside of her window where she is dying. I found this part to be aw kard if a person is dying I dont think that they should be reminded everyday of theirr life. This just makes them wondering when that final day is coming. What person in their right mind wants to see what they will be buried in nobody should even think about that. Addie is a little crazy if you ask me or not just in the right state of mind. Addie has one dream and that to see jewel before she dies. Thats like everybody dreams to do something or say something to that one person before you finally fall off the face of the earth. thats why everyday should be lived as it was the one last one you had

I definitely agree with you that the fact that Cash was building her casket right outside her window is extremely weird. Like you said, who would want to be reminded everyday that they are going to die soon?? As if its not enough that you are doing dying, you are reminded everyday by watching your son build a wooden box that you are going to lay in and be buried under the ground.
