maus
I really enjoyed reading the novel because it was very well written and was told through the eyesight of a survivor, which makes the book more personal. the Holocaust is an actual event, the book tells so many emotions not only for the characters of the book but also for the readers. Maus is the first comic book that I have ever read One thing that I found interesting was the fact that the author included himself in the story, it wasn't just about his mother and father during World War II, it was also about him.. By adding his own experience with his father in it made it even more in depth. it showed his father's side of World War II and the Holocaust but it also showed the author's opinions of his father. It showed his father not only pre war and during the war but also very post war too. It showed how much of an affect the war had on his father and how it changed him.. When I started reading Maus I assumed that it was going to be strictly one man's story.I found it unexpected that it had more viewpoints.
